Discover More About Andong
Hahoe Folk Village
Hahoe Village is a living open-air museum and a UNESCO World Heritage site. Its centuries-old hanok houses preserve the spirit of the past, while narrow alleys lead to rivers and mountains, creating the feeling of traveling back in time. Walking through the village, you may encounter descendants of old clans, step inside traditional homes, and experience the authentic atmosphere of Korea.
Hahoe Mask Museum
This is where the history of Korean theater comes to life. The museum houses a unique collection of traditional Hahoe masks, each reflecting the personality and emotions of its character. Visitors can learn about ancient rituals, see rare artifacts from around the world, and understand why mask art has become a symbol of Andong.
Woryeonggyo Bridge
The longest wooden pedestrian bridge in Korea stretches 387 meters across the Nakdong River. Known as the “Bridge of Eternal Love,” it is especially stunning at sunset, when soft lights reflect on the water. A perfect spot for a romantic walk and unforgettable photos.
Confucian Academies (Dosan Seowon & Byeongsan Seowon)
These academies — UNESCO World Heritage sites — represent the legacy of Confucian philosophy. Great scholars once taught morality, culture, and sciences here. Today, they preserve the spirit of learning and tranquility: traditional halls, covered corridors, and serene gardens invite visitors to connect with the roots of Korea’s spiritual culture.
